Below, you can find information on reaching our wedding destination and how to best travel around the area. The map view shows the location of the venue and the two hotels at which we are offering special rates. They are all at most 10 minutes by car of each other.

This hotel is located in the same town as our wedding villa. It's a doable 20-minute walk to the venue.​​​​​

This hotel is probably the cheapest and simplest option. If you are looking for even cheaper stays, you may be able to find better deals by staying in Airbnbs with a group of friends.

This hotel is located in the central plaza of our villa's town, Trescore Balneario. It is also just a 10 minute walk from the villa.

Located in a 13th-century stone tower and established in 1891, the hotel offers a vintage stay. It also runs a small restaurant/bar with excellent food (we've tried it).

Comfort
This hotel is located in a neighboring town. There is a 15-minute bus connection to the venue. Buses ride only until 7:30 pm. We will provide shuttle buses to bring you back to this hotel after the wedding.​​​​​

This hotel offers a more modern feel and a step up in quality compared to San Pancrazio.
AirBnB
The cheapest way to stay in the area is to find airbnbs with a group of friends. We have seen options for €35 per person per night and less if shared. However, there are not many airbnbs in the area and most are probably not in walking distance of the venue.
Bergamo
You should definitely try to visit Bergamo during your time in the area. The old town is gorgeous. You may even consider staying in Bergamo. There are many options and price ranges for hotels.

There is a bus that takes you to our wedding venue in around 40 minutes. However, the last returning bus leaves at 7 pm. You would have to take an Uber home. We recommend staying in Bergamo really only if you have a car during your stay.​
Arriving by plane
The closest airport is Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), only 20 minutes from Villa Canton. It’s the most convenient if flights match your schedule.

For international connections, Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the main airport and often the cheapest option. From Malpensa, follow the train or car rental instructions below. It's a one-hour car or train ride to Milan Centrale Station from where you continue to Bergamo.

Arriving by train
If you’re arriving by train, travel first to Milan Centrale Station. From there, take a direct regional train to Bergamo (about 50 minutes). Trains run regularly and tickets are inexpensive.

From Milan to the Villa
Whether you arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport or Milan Centrale Station, the next step is to reach Bergamo:
By train: From Centrale, regional trains to Bergamo run every hour.
By car: Driving from Milan Malpensa to Bergamo takes about 1 hour.
By shuttle bus: Several companies run direct buses from Malpensa to Bergamo.
Once in Bergamo, Villa Canton in Trescore Balneario is about 20 minutes away by taxi, rental car, or local bus.
Car rentals
The cheapest and easiest place to rent a car is at Milan Malpensa Airport, where all major international rental agencies are based. Renting in Bergamo is possible but usually more expensive. There are also renting agencies at Milan Centrale Station and at the Milan Linate airport, which is a smaller airport closer to the city center of Milan. We recommend booking in advance.

Public Transportation
From Bergamo’s train station, you can reach Trescore Balneario by local bus (approx. 30 minutes). Taxis/Uber are also available and may be more convenient if you’re traveling with luggage.
How to pay for the bus:
- Tickets can be bought at newsstands, tobacco shops (tabacchi), or vending machines at major stops.
- They can also be purchased via the ATB mobile app (ATB Bergamo).
- Validate your ticket as soon as you board, using the machine inside the bus.
- A single ticket Bergamo → Trescore costs a few euros and is valid for the duration of the journey.
